WHIT'S WALKING!!!!!

Oh My Gosh, Whit is WALKING!!!!! AHHHH, I want to cry....my little baby is walking. for some reason, this milestone really is getting to me!! I love seeing him learning new things, but, man, it just gets me! He's growing up so fast!

He's been taking a step here and a step there for the last week, but over the weekend, he's started going 3-4 steps. Then today, he would let go of what he was holding onto and take like 5 steps. We were having to get him going then sort of let go, but now he's doing it on his own!!! Tonight my parents, Sarah & Nate came over and we were all just shrieking and clapping and cheering him on. Yeah Whit!!!

Nanna & Pops love Whit

Oh, this wonderful December heat

Since it felt like a summer day, not like a December day, we went to Laurel Park this afternoon to play! Apparently everyone else in the neighborhood had the same idea b/c tons of folks were there!! And our friends, the Duncans were there to play also! Here are some pics....

Whit chewing on a stick...i figured he's going to put things in his mouth, so rather this than a rock or sand...
Grant peeking through the plastic thingy....
August playing in the sand....fun stuff!!

Whit's Christmas Tree

Here are two pictures of our Christmas tree this year!! I have to light my "tree" candle so that I can have smell of a real tree!!! So far, so good...Whit hasn't figured out how to pull the tree skirt or mess with it in any way! yeah!
Spot loves her dog bed...isn't she cute under the tree!!!

Oh, Christmas Tree...

I have always been in favor of a real Christmas tree...nothing beats the smell of a real live tree and it always gets me in the holiday spirit. WELL, I can't imagine anything worse to bring into a house that has a baby who explores EVERYTHING!! (except maybe a new dog, say a german shepard puppy... =) Anyway, so I decided to go with a 4 foot fake tree this year...its on top of our drop leaf table that is in our living room. Whit can't reach it and it leaves us with plenty of play room...we need all the play room we can get! I'm thinking that we can use this tree next year as a "theme" tree...say Dallas Cowboys, maybe. That would be Buddy's pick. But, for now, we're enjoying just having a tree at all! Happy Holidays!!!
