a few way overdue pictures

i know i'm seriously overdue on adding some new pictures. not only have i been bad about taking pictures, i haven't put them on a computer b/c i didn't want to put them on the old computer and haven't had a chance to play around on the new one...so, here are a few that i had on my camera.

on my way to running a 5k...

So, since we've started this couch to 5k running plan, we've stuck to the schedule and we completed the 8 weeks of beginner level training...but on monday, i realized that it was harder to run after walking for anything longer than 3 minutes...sarah kindof got off the "timing" and we just ran for a while then walked. So today, i said i wanted to just see how long i could run without stopping. i made it 10 minutes the first time and really only stopped b/c we got to a hill that slows me down. after that we started back up and i ran for 20 minutes straight! it felt good and a few times sarah asked if i needed to walk and i said no and we just kept going. so, i think that by October 31st, i will be able to run that 5k!! the route for the 5k is also flat, so that will help out a lot! anyway, just a huge thank you to Amber for getting me to do this, to Sarah for running with me so early in the mornings and to Buddy for being encouraging and putting up with the alarm going off at 5:30am.

on another note, i promise to get some new pictures up soon...i just haven't put any new pictures on my new computer but will soon!

Whit LOVES p-school

Well, Whit definately has taken a liking to "p-school" as he calls it. He's had no problems getting out of the car with the teachers, which makes me so happy. If he left screaming I would feel so bad! But I know he's having a great time and I know that this is so good for him. His teachers seem wonderful and the calendar is filled with fun activities. Each week in September they will focus on a color...they will do crafts with animals or objects of that color, wear those colors to school, bring a picture of something that color!! During blue week they are even going to make blue jello! how fun! So, I'm very happy with our decision to start Whit in a preschool program. Now that we have started I'm already seeing how Whit really needed more than just a mothers morning out.
Now the only problem lies in wheather or not we will keep him here for the next 2 years or start him at McWillie or Beth Isreal next year. Ahhhh, the decisions you have to make as a parent!! I seriously didn't think I would overanalyze these things and now, here I am doing it! I guess that's just what parents do.
