Summer is almost here!!

There are so many things I'm looking forward to right now. Whit's last few days of school are here and he's offically done next Tuesday. That next week and a half will be busy getting ready for the Bishop's BBQ...being the silent auction co-chair has been fun and required lots of work but I think we are going to have a REALLY GREAT auction! (thanks to Amber for all your hard work!!) The event will be fun and hopefully raise lots of money for Gray Center. Then its time to pack for DISNEY!! Any tips and advice on taking a 3 year old is welcome...I love to hear what worked for other people. But we are really excited about the trip...Mom, Sarah, Nate, Buddy, Whit and I fly out on June 5th. It will be Whit's first ever plane trip and really the biggest trip we've ever taken together as a family! I also won't be working at the insurance office anymore, this Thursday is my last day. I've accepted a job starting in August working at a preschool. Its the preschool program at St. James Episcopal Church and I'm really excited about it. I will either have the 3's or 4's. So, this summer will be fun to spend lots of time with Whit before he starts "big boy" school at McWillie Montessori.

oh yeah, Congrats to Kristi and Andy who are getting married this Saturday...look for pictures soon from the wedding. This should be the LAST wedding I'm in and I'm so excited it's for my good friend Kristi!

5 Wonderful Years!

Buddy and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this past Friday! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Shapley's and a night at the newly renovated King Edward Hotel (Hilton Garden Inn technically, but its the old King Edward!) We've decided that we will go somewhere for every 5 year anniversary...i think we should hit the Bahahams or Mexico for the 10th?? anyone agree with me??
This summer we will actually have been together for 10 years!! We met in 2000 at Camp Bratton Green and we will spend a week there again this summer for the jr. high session Buddy's co-directs. And this will be Whit's 4th summer at camp!! I can't believe he's only 3 and this will be his 4th time to spend a week at CBG! I really think he will love it this year, as he more into songs and games. Of course, I still don't get to really be involved in the theme as Whit can't be quiet during chapel but I love being at camp and feel blessed to bring Whit up experiencing something so special to me and Buddy.
So, 5 years of marriage, 10 years of being together, 1 precious little boy and we still argue over who pursued who that summer at camp! HA!
