Celebrating 2!
A Wonderful Party
We celebrated Whit's 2nd Birthday with lots of our friends and family...We have SO many friends that we are so thankful for and who love Whit so much. We both have friends from high school who we are still very close to and who wouldn't miss Whit's birthday. Thanks for driving to Jackson to celebrate with us! We love you!

My precious 2 year old
I didn't have a spare minute to actually post ON Whit's birthday...it was a super busy day...lots to do...make special birthday pancakes for breakfast, frost cupcakes, go to Sunday School and Church, Whit's birthday party, Super Bowl party and finally BED! I was pooped by 9:00!
Its hard to even begin explaining these last 2 years. Whit is the most precious child with the most wonderful personality. Sometimes I just thank God for blessing us with this beautiful person to raise and care for! Seeing him yesterday having fun and running around just made me happy from head to toe. Two years does seem to go by quickly...he's starting to potty train and he's already perfected the act of climbing out of his crib (hence the fact that I got him bedding for a twin bed for his birthday!) We truly are so thankful to have such wonderful friends to share this time with and we've made so many new friends since Whit's arrival. For me, the play dates and afternoons at the park have been a saving grace. We are able to talk about the kids and what's going on with them and just lean on each other for support. And sometimes not just about the kids, but all the things going on in our lives...for that I'm so thankful. And I know we couldn't have made it without the help of our family...Sarah and Nate being around the corner has been so fun and Whit just LOVES his SaSa and Nate. And there is nothing but pure love and joy when Whit is with my mom and dad. They simply adore him and they light up when they are around him. We are so thankful to live so close and be able to see them all the time. And although we don't make it to Brookhaven as much as we would like to, when we go, Whit loves his Grandma June and Grandpa WL and all of his cousins. They love to play with Whit and help entertain him. Hopefully we'll make it down there more often this year.
If I keep going, I just might cry so I'll wrap it up. Last tought...when whit was a baby, I used to think about all of the "milestones" that he was about to hit...baby food, crawling, walking, talking, etc...i think that was important but it also made you forget to just ENJOY him just how he is today. Whit is so full of joy and he is soaking up everything around him...he says new words all the time and he just amazes me with what he's learning. Happy 2nd Birthday Whit!!
