Hutch has arrived

My dear friend Lindsey gave birth to Hutch on Thursday, March 19th at 8:13pm in Austin, TX. He weighed 8lbs 4 ozs (which is exactly what Whit weighed!) and 21 1/2 inches (he's much longer than Whit was). I can not wait to meet him and I'm so happy for Lindsey and Jeremy...they will be wonderful parents...now, we just have to get them to move back to Mississippi!!!!

waiting on Hutch

Oh, my dear friend Lindsey Boone Hoskinson is at the hospital right this moment in Austin, Texas having her first baby. His name is going to be Hutch...William Hutchins Hoskinson. I'm waiting on updates and hope to hear of his birth any time now.

time to write again

I haven't written a new post since right after Whit's 2nd birthday because I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it. I think that most people who read this know me and know that I lost my father to cancer on February 14th. I have started to post something and then just couldn't...i couldn't write what happened or i just started crying. I do know that we have friends and family who keep up with Whit through this blog so I figured I needed to start back. it doesn't mean that its not hard still...every day is tough. I think about my dad a lot and when I stop and think about him and Whit I get very emotional and weepy. Whit loved his Pops and my dad LOVED Whit. I think Whit brought joy to my dad these last two years...i know he did...i spent a lot of time with him and i could see how he would light up when whit walked in the door. I will miss my dad every day. I hope that Whit will know how much his Pops loved him. with that i have to stop writing about dad because i'll start crying...again
We've had another loss in the family too...this past Sunday we had to put one of our dogs down, Spot. She was pretty old, 16 years, and she had gotten to where she was disoriented and couldn't stand and we didn't want her to suffer. Buddy had Spot before I ever met him. He had Spot and another dog, July, who we lost in August 2004. Spot was a sweet dog and most every person i know loved her!
So, life has been a bit difficult for me for the past few weeks but I am so thankful for my wonderful friends and family who love and support me. I can't even begin to explain how much they have helped me get through this difficult time...its beyond words. This is about all i can manage to write in one sitting...I need to do something mindless like fold clothes and watch some stupid TLC show.
I did post a few new pictures of Whit doing some silly things. He's really talking up a storm these days...some of the new things he's doing that I find amusing/funny/silly/amazing...
-saying 'bless you mommy' when i sneeze
-saying 'don't do that' when i sing or when aunt sarah sings
-not wanting to put pants on becuase it will cover up his Cars pull-ups
-knowing exactly where to go when i tell him to go to time-out...i think he's been put in it enough that he knows where to go!!
That's all i can think of right off the top of my head. I will try to update again soon but for now I hope you enjoy the pictures i added.

a silly 2 year old....

Whit sure has turned into a silly and fun 2 year old. He makes me laugh all the time! Here are some photos from the last several weeks of thing i thought were funny.

his Cars pull-ups and shoes...he LOVES the movie Cars and all things with Lightning McQueen or Mater on them.
Its fun to watch TV while sitting in a laundry basket.

He may not have pants on but he had to have his hat on.
