Sneak Peak

I got a sneak peak at the pictures we took Saturday by my friend, Joy McClellan. There are some wonderful photos of Whit...its hard to get an almost 3 year old to cooperate, smile, sit still and look nice for pictures, but she did a great job!! We got both posed and non-posed pictures and I like both! So, here is one to share with you.

YMCA Fit 2 Lead Costume 5k

After months of hard work, I ran my first 5k!! WOOHOO!! I started VERY slow using the C25k (couch to 5k) plan. Thanks to Amber for pushing me to do it in the first place and thanks to Sarah, Kimberly, Mary, Christine, Emmie and Caroline, all who at some point or another, got up at 5:45 and ran with me. Sarah, especially, started running with me and even showed up when i thought it was raining...thanks for sticking with it and with me!! love you!!
Oh, and I must say how wonderful it was running to the finish line. Since I was the last of "team candy corn" to finish, they were all the yelling and clapping for me...it really made the race special! Even though it was a race, i wasn't racing to get some certain time...just running to accomplish the goal of running a 5k...but i did have a time of 35 minutes 10 seconds. Christine finished 2nd in her age group and Sarah finished 4th in her age group...way to go girls!

Belhaven Halloween Block party

Our neighborhood did a block party where they blocked a whole street off, had games, food, a band and trick-or-treating! It was nice to let Whit go house to house without cars coming through. Lots of his friends were there and we had a great time.

Red Beans and Rice Festival

St. Alexis had a team at the RB&R Festival again this year...and since it was on Halloween, Whit got to wear his costume yet again and go trick-or-treating! They had face painting so we took advantage of that and got his black puppy dog nose painted on. It turned out to be a beautiful day despite fear of bad weather.
Nana brought Whit all ready for trick-or-treating...he had spent the night at her house the night before and they had a great time!
