Eeoyre goes under the needle!

Eeoyre had surgery today on his ear...Yes, that's right, i sewed his ear back on. This is only the second time in my life I've every sewn anything!!! But first I gave him a good stuffing b/c Whit has slowly been pulling the stuffing out and even though I try to put it back in, he's gotten kinda thin and ragady. So I had some of that white stuff that you use to add cushion when you recover a chair and I beefed Eeoyre up! I feel very "domestic" today b/c not only did i sew Eeoyre, I made chocholate chip cookies FROM SCRATCH! I used a recipe in my "The Sneaky Chef" cookbook and one pan burned. The other pan was salvagable. Hey, at least I attempted to make something from scratch!!!

Fun at the Farmers Market

After we had snowballs (see below...i never put things in chronological order!!) we went to the old Farmers Market to pick out little pumpkins for the kids...we attempted to get them all in a picture, but you can imagine how that worked out with 9 kids!!

Whit smelling the flowers
Christine & Maggie
Sweet kisses from big sister
Almost all of the kids in one picture!!
Jude & Whit eating the plums that they gave to each of the kids! They also gave them a little pumpkin of their own!!

Snowballs at Nandy's Candy

Parker & Emmie invited us to Nandy's Candy to have a snowball before they stop for the season. Emmie's mom owns the store and they have the BEST snowballs in town! Whit had a grape snowball then helped himself to Maggie's applejuice flavored ice...THEN he had some yummy jelly beans that Nancy brought out for the kids.

After he finished his whole grape snowball!
Aren't they cute?!?! Maggie & Jude giving kisses!
Enjoying their snowballs!!

New Sunday clothes!!

Nana got Whit 3 new precious outfits this weekend...they had a smocked clothing sale in Madison and she went and looked at the ONE rack they had for boys...they had TWELVE for girls!!! I guess that makes it easier by not having as much choice! Anyway, he wore one of the outfits to church on Sunday morning...I just love the EIEIOH outfit...it has little farm animals on it too!
This was just after his nap so he still wanted his paci...he likes it when he's getting ready for bed or just after...he can be a bit cranky at those two times of the day so we let him have it.

Looking through a photo album and pointing out Aiden!!

Ren's Birthday Surprise @ Cazuala

On Saturday night we surprised Ren at Cazuala with a casual birthday celebration...and we also found out that she is looking at buying a house in Belhaven!!! YAY!! She has met with the realtor several times and has put in an offer!

Andi trying to figure out what Whit is doing...
Say CHEESE!!!
The beautiful birthday cake that Shannon made for Ren...its a yellow cake with marshmellow fondant and food coloring used to paint the butterfly! She's so talented!
I think Andi is a little overwhelmed with that big sombrero!!
Birthday Shot!!
Happy Birthday Ren...we love you!!!!1

Murrah's Homecoming Parade

Sarah & I strolled Whit to the Murrah HC Parade last Friday...we met up with two of her friends and their kids! They are such sweet kids and they even taught Whit how to play ring around the rosie!!

Smith Park & Bubbles

We went to Smith Park this past Sunday for the Jackson Progressives 1st Annual Family Day at the Park...they had music, games and food...and beautiful weather! Whit enjoyed the french fries and corn dog!

Later that day we rediscovered BUBBLES in the tub!!! Whit would not pay any attention to me trying to take his picture in the bubbles...these are the only shots I got!
He LOVED pouring the bubbles in and out of his stacking cups.

Twilight

Okay, so I just finished reading Twilight, the first book in the Twilight saga. My sister started hearing about it and even thought it started out as a "high school" type book, its gaining popularity with older crowds. AND the movie is coming out in November!! Yay!! The main guy character in it is the guy who played Cedric Diggory in The Harry Potter movies. Anyway, my sister is bringing over the next book, New Moon, to me as we speak. I can't wait to get started on it.

Following the leader...

Whit followed Layla and did everything she was doing, including jumping on the bed!

and then running over to the potty (look at whit, he knows to put the seat down!! i'm training him well!)
then to the bathtub!

Whit & Layla

Whit put Eeoyre in this Wal Mart buggie and pushed him all over the house.
Finding all kinds of fun toys in Layla's room
Now Eeoyre is in the pink baby stroller
Oh, a pink Volkswagon Beetle
I know his smile is funny but look at his feet!!!

Ole Brook Fest

Here are the three dogs loaded up in Buddy's car...we stopped at a gas station in Brookhaven and I just had to snap a picture of this!
Whit after waking up...he fell asleep as soon as we left Jackson...he was so exhausted from playing all day at MMO and then with Parker!
Layla Spencer came to see us at our booth...after the rain quit!
Here is what it looked like all morning!
These poor folks needed a real tent..they just had some sort of pvc pipe and a tarp!

Our friend Parker played at our house on Friday afternoon before we left for Brookhaven...they had a good time running all over the house and pulling out all the toys!!

This was on Sunday morning at church...We were in the atrium (Sunday School room) and Whit wanted to play with some of the works (Montessori based activities for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd)
This activity is sorting...he also worked with the spooning.
